You were quoted AED 350 over the phone and the invoice said AED 900. That happens because a price was given before anyone saw the job. Here is how European Technical prices maintenance work in Dubai, including the small print we are happy to explain.
How Dubai maintenance pricing works at European Technical. Fixed written quotes, refundable AED 200 inspection fee, no hourly rates. Call +971 50 168 5444.
For new jobs where the fault needs diagnosis, we attend for a refundable AED 200 inspection fee. The technician examines the problem, takes readings and tells you what is wrong. If you go ahead with the quoted repair, the AED 200 comes off the final bill. If you decline, you paid for a real diagnosis rather than a guess, and you can take our written findings elsewhere. We charge it because proper diagnosis takes a technician's time, and guessing is what produces the AED 900 surprises.
Once diagnosed, you receive a written quote with a fixed price for the repair. Parts, labour and travel within Dubai are in that figure. The price does not move because the job took longer than expected. If we open a wall and find something different, work stops and we re-quote before continuing. You approve any change or it does not happen. No hourly rates, no per-visit surprises, no materials markup you did not see.
Three things. Parts, and we show you the genuine versus alternative option where both exist. Access, because a ceiling leak above a finished room costs more to reach than one in a plant room. And age, because older systems sometimes need interim repairs we would not fit to a newer one. What does not affect the price is your area, your property value or how urgent the job is. Emergencies carry a priority attendance fee, never panic pricing.
Compare two numbers. A neglected AC system in Dubai summer draws more power and fails sooner. Cleaning and small part replacement on schedule costs a fraction of a compressor replacement plus the days of heat that follow it. Our quotes always separate must-do work from could-wait work, so you can spend where it protects you. The cheapest quote is often the one that removes the next, larger bill.
Straight answers, before you book.
Yes. If you accept the quoted repair, the AED 200 is deducted from your final invoice. If you do not proceed, the fee stands as payment for the diagnosis and written findings. Either way you receive a documented fault report, which is yours to keep.
No. All repair work is quoted fixed before it starts. You approve a total price, and that total is what you pay. The only variable charge is the priority attendance fee for emergency dispatch, which is confirmed on the phone before a technician is sent.
Because an honest price needs eyes on the job. A water leak could be a washer or a failed pipe run. Phone estimates cause the gap between quoted and invoiced that everyone hates. We inspect, then quote a figure that holds. It costs one visit and saves the arguments.
